Liam Payne and the Never Ending Story

When Liam passed away in October many fans, myself included, were left shocked, crushed and completely appalled at his death. Since his death there have been multiple stories told about how he died and the circumstances surrounding his death in Argentina were and remain suspicious.

The media has sold a story of how he was climbing from his room (after initially claiming he jumped, then fell, then fainted) and slipped and fell to his death. TMZ claimed his tox screen was positive for Pink Cocaine, only that was a lie and was proven false when the official tox screen was released showing traces of poly-consumption of cocaine, alcohol and antidepressants in his system.

Now however, the court proceedings have begun and Roger Nores presented a 90 page document to the court where he blamed the hotel staff, Liam’s family and Liam himself, claiming he was friends with Liam despite Liam’s drug use and was fighting to keep Liam free of drugs, however, this is completely at odds with the information we have witnessed and the fact that there was a text from Roger to Liam claiming that cocaine he was getting was ‘the good stuff.’ How would Roger know what good cocaine was? Why was he seen on video passing Liam something outside the Hyatt hotel and why do we have a video of Roger sniffing what looks like a line of cocaine behind Liam at Niall’s show in Argentina.

Further, why did Roger claim that Liam’s family were responsible for his addiction and refused to say no to him? How was Roger better placed than those who loved Liam and only wanted the best for him to care for Liam as he battled for sobriety? And further if Roger was so concerned with Liam falling off the wagon then why would he isolate Liam from his support network and make him go to Argentina when he was in a precarious place mentally?

We also know that Roger had Liam’s bank card and that when Kate left Argentina she took Liam’s belongings with her. So we know that Liam was isolated in a foreign country where he didn’t speak the language and without his phone because that was found at the house Roger was staying at. And we know that Liam was apparently given an ultimatum from Kate for his drug use before she left, and that Kate allegedly felt like she was trapped in Argentina. However, Liam wouldn’t have been able to follow her back to the house that was rented because he was going through the visa process. She knew that he hadn’t been fully cleared to get his US Visa so it would have been impossible for him to return to Florida with her so this story makes no sense.

Further, why was the house in Florida owned by a friend of Roger and why was it only rented until October 25th when it went back up for rent - almost as though Liam and Kate would no longer be staying there past October 25th? And why was Liam moved to The Casasur  hotel when the Air bnb was booked until the 18th? Why did they move to Gonzalo’s house and why did they leave? If it was fans finding them then why not stay at Gonzolo’s place instead of moving? None of it adds up and every story, every detail, released creates more questions than answers.

None of Roger’s tall tales add up and neither do the pictures of Liam being bodily carried back to his room, where he was allegedly left with both conflictingly an open and closed door to the hallway. If Liam was so unconscious that he collapsed and was foaming at the mouth, then surely 911 should have been called and when it was called the hotel manager wouldn’t have been heard on the first call asking for assistance in lifting Liam. Further if Liam was so incapacitated that he drank 13 bottles of whiskey and took 9 grams of cocaine then surely medical help should have been called before he was taken back to his room.

Another conundrum that I have is how he sustained all 25 injuries to his person. His autopsy claims that he died with polytrauma to the head and hand with no brace injuries so was not conscious when he fell to his death, but how did he climb down the balcony as surmised by the judge?. If he was in a state of such inebriation then how did he manage to get up on his feet and climb over the ledge of his balcony? And how did he miss the obstacles on the way down? None of the story makes sense because there were metal supports over the restaurant and they weren’t hit, yet these  would have been directly in Liam’s path on the way down. Further how did he land parallel to the hotel and why were hotel staffers moving his body when he was on the ground? There is video evidence of them moving him when it should have been treated as an active crime scene and nothing moved until the scene was processed.

When the judge Laura Brunaird began the proceedings and charged all five were accused with Manslaughter, fans were delighted but now the narrative is that Liam had large quantities of drugs and alcohol in his system and not the traces that the first report claimed. It makes zero sense that Roger’s charges have been downgraded, that Liam’s Rolex watch is still missing and that he climbed over the balcony which would mean his fall was less than initially claimed making his injuries less likely.

Fans will continue to protest and to fight for justice but it seems as though there are forces out there who wish to silence fans and while we continue to fight and to stand united there are those amongst us who would seek to cause discord and to give the accused a voice. TMZ is the main puppet master telling the public that Liam was a drugged-up singer who lost his life because he was out of control  but when fans reported Liam was sober, when the main eye witness has changed his story and his wife works with a company linked to one of the accused then it all starts to look like a massive coverup.

Brett Watson was the witness who claimed he saw Liam fall, then laughed as he spoke about it. He also claimed he was in his hotel room with his wedding planner and saw Liam’s fall, yet the wedding planner claimed Brett’s back was to the window - so, which was it, was he facing the window or away from it? And further, why is Brett’s wife, Naiohmy Alvarez, now working for the Eisenhower Fellowship Programme which has Roger Nores as one of the trustees? Isn’t that a little odd?

Blaming Liam’s family is low and sick when both Karen and Geoff adored Liam and it’s not fair to place the loss on them when Roger had isolated Liam to the point where his own family weren’t allowed to speak to him unless they spoke to Roger first. Furthermore, isolating Liam in first Florida and then Argentina and Liam having multiple bruises on his eyes, a split lip and red marks on his neck show that he was not being looked after; in fact I personally believe that Liam was suffering physical abuse and that Roger and Kate were using him for money and for access to things they couldn’t afford.

Liam was a generous and kind soul and I have zero doubt that all the trauma he’d gone through and survived made him a strong person who disliked hurting others, but it also made him an easy target for manipulators and abusers. My hope is that people will see past the media lies and question the multiple stories while pushing for justice because Liam, Geoff, Karen and every single one of Liam’s family, friends and fans deserve to see justice served. Liam was murdered, stolen from his family and friends and subjected to multiple abuses in his life. He deserves to rest in peace with his abusers and his murderers behind bars and we need to keep fighting for that.

Liam, it’s now 2025 and we will keep fighting to clear your name and to have your death investigated properly. We didn’t leave you behind and we never will. You’re the heart of us and we will fight for you for however long it takes.
