Louis Tomlinson and the 28OP launch

Published on 13 March 2025 at 16:31

Louis Tomlinson is a household name, whether you know him as a One Direction Alumnus,  Solo star or fashion designer, one thing is for sure- the sky is the limit for the talented lad from Doncaster. He’s toured the world, made millions of fans happy and has a tidy sum in his bank account, yet he keeps going, breaking limits that are placed on him and bringing fans both new and old into his thrall.

Louis is a humble and thoughtful man who enjoys reading psychology books, watches shows such as Succession and has an eye for talent that is almost unmatched in the music industry these days. Louis has found multiple up and coming bands and invited them to support him both on tour and through his own festival.

His fandom is diverse and often support the bands Louis finds. Bands like Only The Poets, The Academics and The Snuts have all at one time supported Louis and now have fandoms of their own. Louis Away from Home Festival is turning into a fan highlight of the year where fans of Louis flock to a specific location for a day of festival fun and sunshine.

Louis as a fashion designer takes inspiration from his background as a young Yorkshire lad and has designed stunning pieces that are sporty with a street edge. Both his 28OP clothing line and his own merchandise are top quality and while 28OP is more expensive, that’s to be expected since it’s a designer brand.

Recently the 28OP launched in SoHo in London with multiple influencers and media invited to the launch. Dirty Blonde, an incredibly talented band, scouted by Louis or his team supported the launch and Louis talked through his inspiration in designing his pieces. This launch, on February 28th was a contemporary mix of sports jackets and denim, with other beautiful pieces that are one of a kind and extremely sought after by both the fandom and influencers alike.

The launch itself had been announced via instagram and fans had found the location, turning up en masse to support Tomlinson at his launch. Multiple fans of Louis are in their early twenties to early thirties, but Louis is lucky as he also appeals to an older audience with many fans aging into their 40s,  50s and beyond.

Louis has toured two successful albums and is currently at work writing his third. He has also successfully completed a festival circuit and is a world record holder. His talent as a song writer and singer is incredible but extremely underrated. He wasn’t the break out star from One Direction, however his talent, grit and determination shone through along with his impeccable songwriting skills and he’s found his niche with a fandom that absolutely adores him.

Louis' music is more Britpop than Pop and as such many radio stations and media outlets don’t play his music, so his success is solely down to him and his talent. There’s also a screed of negative press about Louis, including an article about the 28OP launch that talks about subjects that would be upsetting for anyone, let alone someone on the world stage.

Louis is more than his grief, he’s philanthropic, and just last week played to a sold out crowd at Electric Brixton which was phenomenal. His set list, the vibe in the venue and the volume of the fans was something else and it was all for charity, to support grassroots music venues.

Louis is also a player for this years Soccer Aid, a fact that has delighted fans and ensured a good crowd will show up and support our Donny lad as he dons his number 28 again for charity.

When thinking about Louis, belittling him and making him out to be no more than a cigarette smoking, vodka drinking chavv detracts from the incredibly thoughtful and kind man who has donated much to charity, and who has fought his way through obstacle after obstacle in the music industry to cultivate a fanbase that is both supportive and protective.

If you take a swipe at Louis, his fandom will rise and you will regret it as we will always call out unfair and unjust pieces, so Joe Bromley, next time you wanna write an article about Louis, please remember to treat him with kindness and respect because our fandom is not kind to those who ridicule or make snide digs at our boys and we will protect them with all we have.

Do better next time!

And Louis, congrats on another amazing launch and the last two incredible shows. We’re all waiting with baited breath to see what’s next for you in 2025! Take care of yourself and we’ll be there supporting you every step of the way.

All our love

Now this is the type of article they should be publishing about Louis Tomlinson. I wasn’t really a 1Direction Fan at first. This happened only after I found Louis. His music his voice his accompaniment, this is what they should be talking about. This article was beautiful and I hope Louis gets to read it. We are so proud of him. Maybe we should flood the press with articles like this. Maybe then they will understand they can’t bring him down not with a fan base like Louis. Again congratulations to you on taking the time to say everything we his fans think and know about him. Beautifully Done. 💙
