The Dismissal of Defendants

Liam Payne Case update

Fans of singer Liam Payne were left stunned by the court’s  decision to dismiss charges for three of the key defendants in Liam’s murder case. Liam, as you know, was found deceased on October the 16th at the Casasur Palermo in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His death shocked and devastated fans and the stories that were released after his passing raised more questions than answers.

Many of the questions circulate around Liam’s missing Rolex- an item he was rarely ever seen without and how the claims of his drinking and drug use were exacerbated beyond belief. Before the first week had passed there was a story by TMZ that Liam had been taking pink cocaine and it’s a story that Roger Nores has yet again reiterated in the recent Daily Mail articles.

Liam’s legacy and who he was have been under constant attack since his passing and with stories rushed out, books ready to be published about his life and constant character assassinations- it has fans wondering if this was a case of wrong place, wrong time or something much more insidious. Liam’s death wasn’t an accident, and it wasn’t suicide.

He died after a public ex fiancé went to Tiktok and claimed he’d abused her after she published a fictional story of their apparent relationship. She changed her story multiple times and was in fact in contact with the person who was controlling Liam’s life about how much he was struggling allegedly. Maya Henry did not speak up for victims, did not advocate for Liam’s mental health and was cruel and vindictive when seeking a hate mob online to harrass and bully Liam.

Liam lost many, many fans over the allegations and was bullied relentlessly online to the point that he no longer had a mobile phone because he didn’t want to be tempted to check on his social media, yet he was constantly on social media during this time as his current public girlfriend was trying to become a social media influencer and her TikTok's with Liam reached far greater audiences than her solo ones.

Liam, therefore, was isolated and alone when Kate left Argentina as she was one of the people who was part of his care team, along with one of the defendants who was dismissed, Roger Nores. Rogelio Nores, an Argentinian businessman met Liam Payne at a party held by a public friend of Liam’s Edward Enninful who was the British Director of Vogue and was a friend of Maya Henry as well.

Roger, claimed that he didn’t know Liam was drinking or taking drugs, yet there are text messages that prove he in fact did know and at times facilitated the delivery of drugs to Liam. In fact, fans caught one such exchange on camera and Liam himself posted a Snapchat story where Roger can clearly be seen in the background, taking what looks suspiciously like drugs. Roger also claimed that Liam was not his responsibility, yet there is an email between Roger and Liam’s psychiatrist that states that Liam should not be left alone, nor should he mix alcohol with his antidepressants as there can be an interaction. This clearly shows that Roger was acting in a managerial or caring capacity as this information is not readily given to just friends and would have been only disclosed if there was paperwork signed giving him access which you would not give to just a friend.

Further to that, Geoff Payne, Liam’s father testified that Rogelio and Kate were left in charge of Liam’s wellbeing and it was again reiterated that Liam didn’t have a mobile phone as Geoff would have to contact Roger or Kate for updates on Liam, and to talk to him which obviously isolated Liam further from his loved ones.

Another galling piece of information that has come to light on the back of the ruling is that Roger’s phone, Liam’s phone and his laptop, plus Lula’s laptop (Roger’s girlfriend who was on X factor Argentina and toured with Niall so there’s a link to Simon Cowell for you) were not examined at all. This ruling was made without all the evidence being examined and since there was an email submitted showing that Roger was in fact Liam’s manager and that Lula was acting as his assistant manager then it shows that the whole dismissal is incredibly worrying.

The prosecution never had a chance to present their evidence, and there is evidence that Liam was encouraged, coerced or manipulated into opening an American bank account and that Roger was trying to take over managing Liam’s finances as there was an email between Roger and Alan McEvoy who has been Liam’s accountant since the beginning of One Direction. Was this why Liam was killed? Had he decided not to let Roger take control of his finances and they killed him to stop him exposing them?

After his acquittal Roger went on TMZ and stated that he would drop the case against Geoff Payne if Geoff apologises to him, but why should Geoff apologise? If all the evidence wasn’t examined and there are fan testimonies that show Roger acting as Liam’s manager, evidence showing Roger taking drugs around Liam, texting Liam about drugs and passing Liam drugs then why should Geoff apologise?

Roger claimed he was trying to help Liam stay clean and sober, yet his actions show he was using Liam and exposing him to some of the things Liam was trying to steer clear from. If Roger is as innocent as he claims then why is he lying to the press about what Liam took before he passed away? The official toxicology result confirms that traces of alcohol, cocaine and Liam’s antidepressants were found on his body at his time of death and from the seventy two hours preceding his death. Further Liam did not die of a drug or drink overdose - his cause of death was polytrauma to the skull, allegedly from the fall, but the fall doesn’t explain the twenty five other injuries he sustained or why his body was moved around when it was found.

Another pressing concern is that Roger is claiming that Liam had a threesome with escorts before he died, but one thing Liam was never known as was a cheater. He was faithful to his partner and if he was engaging in threesomes, while allegedly still in a relationship with Kate Cassidy then their stories don’t add up either. Kate claims Liam wanted to marry her and that he was fine when she left Argentina four days prior to his passing with his credit cards and suitcases, so how did he fall so far off the rails.

Another baffling thing about this case is the fact that Roger looked at two rooms in the Casasur in September, one on the first floor and one on the third, yet picked the third floor as the suite Liam was to stay in. This is concerning because Liam was also booked at the Hyatt hotel and an AirBnB was also booked for the same stay, so why were so many places booked? Why did Roger personally book the Casasur hotel and why is Liam’s case so similar to the case of Emilly Rodrigues, a Brazilian model who also died in Argentina?

Emilly fell over a balcony from the sixth floor after a 911 call where she was telling the call handler that someone injected her with something. Emilly’s skull did not show any injury despite her fall, yet her pelvis, knees, groin and arms showed injuries. The lawyer defending the alleged perpetrator was the same lawyer who took over Roger Nores' defence and is also the brother of the Argentinian Minister for Justice.

Roger’s lawyer, Rafael Cueno Libarona, is the brother of Mariano Cueno Libarona who as mentioned above is the Argentinian Minister for Justice, but what’s interesting is the judge in the case who ruled that Laura Bruiniard had to take the case, even when she tried to remove herself from the case, is friends with Mariano. Judge Marcelo Lucini was the one who dismissed the charges against three of the defendants without examining all evidence and without hearing from the prosecution at all, while having links to the family member of a lawyer involved in the case.

The changing toxicology reports, the constant change of stories, the fact that Liam allegedly climbed over a balcony and fell, yet showed no reflex position that the conscious mind adopts shows that Liam either didn’t fall, or was unconscious as he fell, but there were no fingerprints found on his balcony at all. The story of the brown bag found on the second floor days later, yet Liam had a black bag when he travelled and Kate had the brown bag and the fact that the texts ordering the escorts came from Florida and not Argentina shows that this case was massively corrupt.

Claiming to be someone’s friend and yet being delighted that it’s all over, as Nores claims, shows that he didn’t care about Liam at all because it’s not over. Liam is still gone. His family are grieving and demanding an apology from a family who are grappling with the loss of a loved one is not only sickening, but absolutely insane. What makes Nores think that anyone would support this supposed apology and what exactly is Geoff supposed to apologise for? Geoff has remained nothing but dignified throughout this whole thing and it shows that Liam’s real loved ones have upheld his dignity and not run to the tabloids to sell their stories to the highest bidder, yet his ‘girlfriend’, ‘friend’ and ‘former fiancee’ have all sold their stories and have performed a hack job on Liam’s character.

The stories in the press about Liam may have most of the general public fooled into thinking Liam was just another star who ended up dying because of drink or drugs, but fans know better. They’ve watched every single moment of this case unfold and are disgusted by how the case has been handled from start to finish because so much of this case has been an absolute shambles. The sharing of the pictures of Liam’s body by TMZ and the images of the room to paint him as a drug fueled party animal when he’d literally just died was horrific. The fact that his own sister and best friends found out online through a google alert is abhorrent. The fact that the crime scene was interfered with and that he was bodily carried back to his room by hotel staff when he was allegedly seizing and unconscious is a a complete dereliction of duty and the fact that he has been reduced to nothing more than an abusive, cheating drug addict is an insult to the kind and loving man he was.

Liam is more than your narratives, and deserves better treatment from the press and those on social media. He was a person with a family, with loved ones who are now navigating a world without him because he was taken from in the cruellest manner possible. We all know the media rarely show compassion, but these stories feel targeted and because of this fans won’t stop their fight for justice. Liam will not be forgotten and he will be remembered as a kind, empathetic and loving soul.

Justice will prevail and one day those who caused his death will be held accountable because karma catches everyone and fans stand with the Payne family and Liam’s loved ones. This is not the end of the war, just the end of the first battle.
